The Upward Bound Trust’s new hangar was officially opened on Sunday 3rd May 2009 by Chief Flying Instructor Mike Clark and former UBT pupil Andy Perkins, who is now leading the youth movement at the BGA.
The opening marked the culmination of a lot of hard work and fundraising activities necessary for the new hangar building, which has ensured the continuation of gliding at the Upward Bound Trust.
After the opening ceremony there was an aerobatic display by a vintage Lunak stunt glider, ‘Czech Mate’.
